  • Anthony Abdy
    President / CEO

    Anthony founded Stonework Design & Consulting, Inc. in 1998 while studying for his undergrad business degree at Suffolk University in Boston, MA. Tasked with creating a business as part of the course curriculum. He created Stonework Design & Consulting, Inc. Two decades later, Stonework is a thriving market leader serving New York City and the tri-state area.

    Anthony has over 22 years of experience in the tile and stone industry. He has gained valuable experience in the industry as a project manager and estimator, supervising the supply, logistics, fabrication and installation for various projects. This, along with developing his own real estate projects has helped him understand the complexities of construction and become efficient with project coordination, organization and fostering great teams.

    Anthony brings with him a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a true passion for construction. At Stonework, he is responsible for the company’s overall business strategy, financing, sales and supporting his team to perform at their best. He believes in responsibility, accountability, adaptability, and integrity, and holds himself as well as his team to these simple, yet high standards on every project.

  • Ralph Avalone
    Vice President

    Ralph joined Stonework as Vice President in September of 2014. Ralph brings with him a remarkable understanding of the complexities involved in the construction business and has the experience to create successful outcomes.

    Ralph was introduced to the tile industry through his family at a very young age. In 1986, he joined the Tile, Marble & Terrazzo Local Union No. 7. In 1994, Ralph joined Port Morris Tile and Marble as a foreman running such projects as the Mandarin Oriental Hotel NYC, Bloomingdale’s White Plains, and others. Following 19 years of field experience, Ralph worked as a Project Manager for Port Morris and eventually became the Vice President of the tile division. He oversaw projects ranging from 735 6th Ave, Yankee Stadium, Trump SoHo and The Lariat to Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center and 388 Bridge Street. Ralph owes his success as a project manager to his field experience where he amassed vast knowledge of setting procedures and products.

  • Sal Biondo
    Director of Operations and Project Management

    Sal joined the Stonework team in 2014. He demonstrates an unparalleled level of dedication and involvement in the operations of Stonework. Sal specializes in Preventive Project Management – applying forethought to diminish potential logistical and production challenges.

    Sal takes complex and makes it simple. While Sal diligently seeks solutions to unforeseen problems and is always eager to take on any challenge that comes his way, to him time is the most valuable asset. He fully understands the value of time for both himself and the company as well as the clients we serve. Sal brings with him an unwavering level of integrity and commitment to achieving the highest level of success in everything that is brought to him.

    Prior to joining Stonework, Sal gained valuable experience as a project manager for Stone Truss Systems and as a CNC fabrication program manager for ICM. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from William Paterson University

  • Alexander Lerner
    Estimator | Project Manager

    Alex joined Stonework’s team in 2014. With an extensive knowledge of fabrication and installation. He brings with him an acute understanding of this industry with a very practical and logical approach. He is precise, punctual, deadline-driven and known for maintaining high standards.

    Alex has worked as a draftsman, estimator, and project manager for the past 30 + years, where he has gained valuable experience at various companies including Wilkinson & Company, Worldwide Marble & Granite in Brooklyn, Unique Marble & Granite, and Port Morris Tile & Marble.

  • Jay Doshi
    Estimator | Project Manager

    Jay joined Stonework’s team as an estimator in 2012. He brings to the table a great level of passion, a unique ability to process intricate details, and the ability of handling multiple projects at once.

    Jay obtained a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and has over 10 years of experience in the architecture and construction fields.
    At Stonework, Jay enjoys being able to absorb knowledge from the steady stream of innovative projects he encounters. His diverse range of work has granted him familiarity with all sides of the building process, honing a unique and well-rounded approach to the science of construction and estimating. This perspective allows him to understand the needs of all parties and to deliver innovative solutions to our clients.

  • Evelyn Salgado
    Office Manager and Bookkeeper

    Evelyn joined Stonework’s team in 2007. She is a true asset to the organization, managing several key areas including internal communications, employee payroll, all bookkeeping activities and requisitions, employee relations and compliance with regulatory requirements. Evelyn is an out-of-the-box thinker, social, energizing, and has an ability to evoke positive change in the workplace. She has helped in creating the systems that fuel our company, successfully maintains client relations, and keeps Stonework organized.

  • Fanny Torres

    Fanny joined the team in 2017. She has spent the last 13 years honing her skills as a drafter, working on relevant stone and tile projects. Fanny is organized, meticulous in her work and brings to the table a strong work ethic along with a high level of integrity. She has been a great addition to the team and enables Stonework to add value to our clients.
